Food: Good food with a great variety to suit everyones tastes - more of a resturant menu than a pub. The winestore offers a finer dining menu.

Drink: Excellent selection of all of the best wines and champagnes.

Service: Friendly staff but no table service which was a shame. We're lazy! We liked to be looked after :)

Atmosphere: Happy and enjoyable atmosphere, the pub is modern, sleek yet welcoming and casual. We recommend you sit ouside during the day.

Per Head: Aprox $40

Steve's

This weeks lunch took us to Steves, located in Nedlands on the beautiful Swan river. We were so busy eating and drinking away - we forgot to take photos of the place! These images are courtesy of the Steve's website - www.steves.com.au

Steves is an iconic West Australian Pub which has recently been renovated to include an upmarket Moet bar where you can sit in the sun and drink one of the worlds finest Champagnes!

Steve's drinks menu is extensive and specialises in wine, offering a selection for all tastes and price ranges.

Steve's is also connected to a winestore which holds a fantastic array of alcohol. The service is helpful and the staff have a great knowledge on wines. There is also the option to dine in the Winestore Bistro for finer dining (there is a different menu), and table service.

We kicked the lunch off with some Oysters Kilpatrick, we would definately recommend these as a starter dish as they were delicious and fresh - $20

Next up we shared a plate of the Calamari with chipotle aioli, it was devoured in about 2 minutes. Sometimes when you order battered calamari in a restaurant the calamari can be over battered, but this was devine and crispy. Plus it was only $12!

If you're in the mood for some pub grub we would defiantly recommend the steak sandwich with caramelised onion relish, Fontal cheese aioli, rocket and a side of chips. We think the bread needed to be toasted a little bit more but other than that a great, filling dish - $24.

It doesn't always have to be ladies who lunch, so today we invited our very dear friend Harrison Reiffer along. Harry has a passion for good wine and food as much as we do and he made a great addition to our lunch.

And of course put us all in good spirits!

Broccolini and green bean orechiette peccorino, soft feta and pinenut pasta was next. This is the cheapest pasta on the menu and after one bad experience with the dish a couple of weeks ago we decided to give it another crack. It was very tasty, the pasta was cooked beautifully and the sauce mixed with cheese and broccolini worked well - $18.

From the garden we had tomato and buffalo mozzarella with olive oil and basil. There wasn't enough cheese to salad ratio which let this dish down - $12.

I'm a paragraph. Click here to add your own text and edit me. I’m a great place for you to tell a story and let your users know a little more about you.

We recommend you add Steve's to your lunch 'to-do list', their extensive wine list, fantastic food, and casual, modern vibe will guarantee you a great afternoon with friends.

Thanks for lunch Steve's!

Love - forladieswholunch xx

We sat in the beautiful outdoor garden and popped a bottle of Laurent-Perrie Champagne, it was delicious. A few Bloody Mary's for Taylor too!

Indi ordered the tiger prawn linguine with chilli, garlic, white wine, lemon and butter. She was very pleased with this dish, the prawns were a bit too tough but overall a great meal - $28.
