It seemed fitting to start our blog off in the bustling suburb of Fremantle. The place is exciting, vibrant, and full of life with an almost overwhelming selection of cafes, resturants, bars and pubs.

The Monk is a micro-brewery, situtated in the heart of Fremantle on South Street and is the perfect place to be on a sunny Perth afternoon.

The Monk

We started off with one of The Monk's "Most Wanted" - Yum Cha Squid- $15.

Chased down with some Sangria... it was delicious, with just the right amount of sweet.

A cheers was certaintly in order to celebrate our first ladieswholunch - lunch!

And when the sangria ran out ...

Just in time for the mains!

Garlic Prawns (an appetizer eaten as a main) - turned out to be the perfect size for a very hungry Izzy - $20.

Pork belly and scallops (also an appetizer) - scallops were delish, pork belly a little too on the fatty side but still full of flavour- $22.

Some very colourful tandoori chicken, dalh and garlic naan. The three flavours together were great,      (I assure you the dahl was delish - it's just not the most attractive of foods!) - $27

Turns out Taylor likes to eat Izzy's left over prawn tails...

...much to Izzy's disgust!

All in all, a great first ladieswholunch.

I mean, what's better than good food, great friends - all washed down with yummy wine on a perfect day in sunny Perth.

Love - forladieswholunch xx
